Victorian Revival Oval Lyre-Base Parlor Table, Early to Mid-20th Century
Item Details
This mid-20th-century parlor table features a classic oval top with a stepped molded edge, supported by an architectural lyre-form base. The two harp-shaped supports are joined by a shaped horizontal stretcher with a central circular cutout, resolving in splayed feet. The table is equipped with original white ceramic casters, a common feature for movable parlor furniture of the era. The underside of the tabletop bears a white stenciled factory code, ‘905.’ Finished in a deep wood tone, this piece represents the historical revival styles prevalent in American residential furniture during the mid-century period.
