This mid-century Hollywood Regency coffee table, manufactured by the Campbell Glass Shop of Los Angeles, embodies the glamour of the 1950s California design scene. The table features a distinctive serpentine-shaped top and a matching scalloped apron, both meticulously clad in antiqued mirror panels. The foxed glass creates a ‘Verre Églomisé’ effect, offering a soft, mottled reflection that masks the age of the underlying silvering. It is supported by four elegantly tapered legs, also mirrored, which are punctuated at the shoulders by metallic bronze-toned collars. While the piece exhibits significant vintage foxing and localized damage to the apron glass, it retains its original factory label on the underside, providing excellent provenance for collectors of Los Angeles-made mid-century furniture.
