This Queen Anne style mahogany highboy chest-on-stand is a refined 20th-century revival piece. The upper section features a molded cornice above a configuration of two short drawers and three long, graduated drawers, flanked by fluted corner pilasters. The lower stand contains a single long drawer over a central short drawer with a deeply carved fan motif, flanked by two square drawers. The unit is supported by elegant cabriole legs that terminate in traditional pad feet, joined by a gracefully scalloped apron with a central drop pendant. The piece is accented throughout with decorative brass-toned batwing pulls and escutcheons.
