A 1965 limited edition woodcut print by well-listed Modern American artist Irving Amen (1918-2011) titled Bird Watcher. This colorful primary colors depicts a woman gazing out at a bird perched nearby. It is signed “Irving Amen” by hand to the lower right corner and an edition number of 6/75 in lower left. The piece is presented under mat, glass and set in a wood frame.

Irving Amen studied art at the Pratt Institute and later in Paris. Known for his paintings, woodblock printing, stained glass and sculpture, he is listed in the Dictionary of Contemporary American Artists by Cummings and was elected as a member of the Academia Florentina della Arti Del Disegno which also included Michelangelo as a member. His work can be found in The Museum of Modern Art, NY, The Metropolitan Museum, NY, Boston Museum of Fine Art, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Cincinnati Art Museum, The Smithsonian, Washington DC as well as museums in London, Jerusalem, Brussels, Germany, Austria, New Zealand and Canada.
