Contemporary Upholstered Armchair, Late 20th to Early 21st Century

Item Details

This contemporary armchair features a comfortable barrel-back form with integrated sloping arms and a deep seat. The piece is fully upholstered in a heavy woven fabric featuring a vibrant ikat-style print with a palette of deep red, gold, olive green, and dark brown. The pattern is arranged in vertical stripes that incorporate repeating spiral and geometric ‘block’ motifs. It is supported by four square-tapered wooden legs with a medium-brown finish. While the chair maintains its structural integrity, it exhibits notable condition issues, including a significant split in the upholstery at the front edge of the left arm. This piece serves as a functional example of modern transitional seating designed for eclectic residential interiors.
