Chinese Export Style Wooden Nesting Tables, Mid to Late 20th C.

Item Details

This set of three Chinese graduated nesting tables is rendered in a dark stained hardwood with the minimalist architectural hallmarks of the Ming style. Each table features a floating panel top within a mitered frame, supported by clean square legs and a subtle beaded apron. The legs terminate in traditional horse-hoof feet. The underside construction utilizes modern metal bolt-and-nut fasteners, typical of mid to late 20th century export production. While the set remains structurally sound, the dark finish on the upper surfaces shows significant wear and water-marking, characteristic of regular household use.
