This Rococo Revival style console table features a serpentine-front marble top characterized by a white ground and subtle grey veining. The marble rests upon a masterfully carved walnut base with a highly ornamental apron. The central apron is defined by a pierced cartouche flanked by large C-scrolls and hand-carved rose blossoms. The table is supported by two elegant cabriole legs, each deeply carved with acanthus leaves at the knee and pendant floral swags along the outer curve. A shaped stretcher connects the legs, culminating in a central carved crest that mirrors the apron’s rocaille motif. This piece represents the opulence of late 19th-century Victorian interior design.
