Four-Piece Mahogany Bedroom Suite in the Hepplewhite Style, Circa 1940-1950
Item Details
This mahogany four-piece bedroom suite was produced in the United States during the mid-20th century, drawing heavily from Hepplewhite style influences. The collection includes a four-drawer serpentine dresser, a kneehole desk with seven drawers, a single-drawer open-shelf nightstand, and a rectangular wall mirror featuring an inlaid neoclassical urn and swag motif. Each case piece is characterized by delicate fluted pilasters, rosette carvings, and the iconic tapered square legs of the Federal Revival aesthetic. The drawers are constructed with machine-cut dovetails and are accented by original brass-toned oval pulls. All horizontal surfaces are protected by custom-contoured glass tops. The suite is identified by the production stamp ‘NO 1375 DR. MAH.’ on the reverse.
