5'1 x 8'5 Hand-Knotted Signed Persian Qom Silk Area Rug

Item Details

This late 20th-century Persian Qom rug is a virtuoso display of silk weaving from the renowned workshop of Sadegh Zadeh. Anchored by a monumental floral medallion, the radiant ruby-red field is densely populated with a sophisticated array of botanical sprays and scrolling tendrils, executed in a delicate palette of ivory and pastel silks. The composition is framed by ornate ivory spandrels and a substantial floral border of remarkable technical precision. Woven entirely in natural silk on a silk foundation, the textile exhibits an extraordinary light-reflecting quality and a supple, velvet-like handle. Featuring the master weaver’s signature, this piece represents a high-capital investment asset suitable for the most refined formal interiors.
