This pair of Louis XVI style side chairs features elegant giltwood frames with a distinctive twin-medallion backrest design. Each chair is topped with an ornate carved floral and foliate crest, flowing into a frame accented by brass nailhead trim. The circular seats and back panels are upholstered in a sophisticated blue and gold diamond-patterned fabric. The chairs are supported by fluted, tapered front legs capped with decorative rosettes, while the rear legs exhibit a graceful sabre curve. Though showing honest wear to the gilded surfaces consistent with age, these chairs maintain a regal Neoclassical silhouette suitable for formal interiors.
