Maddox Table Co. Hepplewhite Style Mahogany Bowfront Chest with Leather Top
Item Details
This mid-20th-century serpentine front chest of drawers was manufactured by Maddox Tables in Jamestown, New York. Constructed with mahogany and mahogany veneers, the chest features a traditional four-drawer configuration with machine-cut dovetail joinery and graduated drawer heights. The top is inset with a dark brown leather panel decorated with gilded floral and geometric tooling. It is supported by four bracket feet and retains its original brass-toned oval hardware. Authenticity is verified by a Mahogany Association, Inc. label and the manufacturer’s original paper tag located in the drawer interior.
