Colonial Revival Style Maple Chest-on-Chest, Mid-20th Century
Item Details
This mid-century chest-on-chest by Vermont of Winooski is a premier example of the Early American Colonial Revival style that dominated post-war American suburban interiors. Constructed entirely from solid rock maple with a warm honey finish, the unit features a stacked design with seven total drawers organized in a ‘3-over-4’ configuration. The drawers exhibit traditional through-dovetail joinery and are fitted with decorative batwing brass-finish bails. Design flourishes include a molded cornice, a subtly stepped mid-section, and a decorative scalloped apron resting on sturdy bracket feet.
