Victorian Cherry Glass Front Armoire Converted to Cabinet, 19th Century

Item Details

This mid-to-late 19th-century Victorian cabinet is crafted from cherry wood, featuring a robust architectural silhouette. The upper section is defined by a prominent molded cornice above two tall doors with distinctive arched glass panels. The lower section contains two side-by-side drawers constructed with machine dovetail joinery and fitted with faceted glass knobs. The cabinet rests on a scalloped apron and short bracket feet. While the primary carcass is of 19th-century origin, the interior has been modernized with adjustable brass shelf standards, glass shelving, and electrical wiring. The rich cherry wood displays an aged patina, making this a versatile piece that blends antique craftsmanship with contemporary utility.
