Ethan Allen Louis XV Style Armchair

Item Details

This Louis XV revival armchair was manufactured by Ethan Allen as part of their late 20th-century French Provincial offerings. The chair features a finely carved hardwood frame characterized by elegant cabriole legs, scrolled arms, and a decorative floral-carved crest rail. It is upholstered in a cream-colored satin fabric featuring a recurring embroidered star pattern on the backrest, seat, and arm pads. A manufacturer’s label is preserved on the underside of the frame. While structurally sound and maintaining a high-quality aesthetic, the seat cushion shows significant visible staining consistent with regular household use. This piece serves as a classic example of high-end American furniture design inspired by 18th-century French silhouettes.
