Mediterranean Revival Wrought Iron and Marble-Top Scroll-Base Coffee Table

Item Details

This late 20th-century coffee table features a heavy rectangular marble top with elegant notched corners and a multi-tiered ogee edge. The top is supported by a robust wrought iron base finished in an antiqued, pale-wash patina. The architectural design includes ornate triple-scroll legs accented by cast metal acanthus leaf medallions and spherical brass-toned finials. A central cross-stretcher is highlighted by a delicate wire-wrapped butterfly scroll motif, providing both structural stability and ornamental interest. Manufactured in Mexico and stamped with a 1998 approval date, this piece exemplifies the Mediterranean Revival style, blending classical European motifs with sturdy handcrafted construction.
