This Mid Century Modern executive armchair, designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll International, features a sculptural molded shell upholstered in a textured brown textile over a urethane foam core. The iconic design is defined by its integrated arms and a distinctive horizontal back opening. The seat is supported by a polished four-star swivel pedestal base. The underside retains several original manufacturer labels, including the Knoll International 745 Fifth Avenue distributor tag and the secondary urethane foam certification. This piece represents a seminal 20th-century office design and is presented with wear patterns appropriate for its age, including visible surface residue and oxidation on the metal components.
