Louis Vuitton

Looking for that iconic LV monogram? Whether it’s a purse, wallet or piece of luggage, travel in style with vintage and used Louis Vuitton wares.

In 1837 a 16-year-old Louis Vuitton arrived in Paris to begin apprenticing for master luggage craftsman Monsieur Maréchal. With baggage being tossed from horse-drawn carriage to ships and trains, Vuitton wanted to make luggage that was easily stackable and kept belongings safe inside. Thus the sturdy and rectangular Louis Vuitton trunk was born. Once a master of his craft, Vuitton and his son Georges went on to design a tumbler lock with spring buckles that was famously hailed as an “unpickable lock” that is still used today. One of the world’s leading international fashion houses, Louis Vuitton continues to sell its luxury goods ranging from luggage and and leather goods to ready-to-wear fashion and accessories.
