Remarkable for its condition, composition and craftsmanship, this extraordinary Sefer Torah crown dates back to the early 20th century and was made in Israel’s Bezalel School of Arts and Design, very likely under the supervision of its founder Boris Schatz. It is available only through EBTH in a historically significant collection that also includes a handwritten Sefer Torah scroll from the first half of the 20th century and a nearly-complete 19th-century Russian silver Sefer Torah set with a breastplate, pair of rimonim and a yad.
Sefer Torah Crown
Extremely rare and early 20th century Sefer Torah crown from Bezalel School of Arts and Crafts in Jerusalem. Yemeni in form and handcrafted entirely of silver with parcel gilding, filigree work, bezel set with carnelian stones and bone medallions representing the Twelve Tribes of Israel. Marked on the interior with the Bezalel stamp.
Silver Sefer Torah Set
Nearly-complete 19th-century Russian silver Sefer Torah set of pair of rimonim, breastplate and yad. Rimonim and breastplate designed with parcel gilding and rising to a bird finial atop each, hung all around with rows of gold plated silver bells. The breastplate features the lions of Judah.
Spice Boxes and Kiddush Cup
One Russian sterling silver filigree etrog made in the latter part of the 19th century; one presumably Russian, late 19th or early 20th century; late 19th to early 20th century Kiddush cup, of traditional tulip shape and stamped with St. Petersburg city mark.
Sefer Torah Scroll
From the early to mid-20th century, hand-rendered upon goatskin parchment and complete with turned wooden handles and an embroidered velveteen cover.
