A ten volume set of The Photographic History of The Civil War edited by Francis Trevelyan Miller. Each volume is bound in gilt lined three-quarter black leather and textured cloth covered boards, gilt lettering and decorations to the spine and top text edges are gilt. The endpapers are illustrated in light blue on white and a tipped in page to the front of this ‘Semi-Centennial Memorial’ set features with a red, white and blue colored flag. Each is heavily illustrated with thousands of scenes photographed during the 1861-1865 time span with text by various contributors. This memorial set was published fifty years after the start of The Civil War at Fort Sumter.
