A cast iron seal embosser. The seal reads ‘Marlton Lodge No. 128, Sexenntial League, Instituted April 23, 1890, No. 128.’ Presumably, this embosser is from the Marlton, NJ lodge.
The Sexennial League was founded in July 1888 as a benefits or relief fund for members, who would pay dues and abide by the laws of the organization, and later be able to receive monetary assistance in the event of sickness, disability, or death.
