A late 1950s vintage Pauline Trigère wool coat in French blue styled with a wide notched collar, vertical seams, belted waist and hidden on seam pockets.
Pauline Trigère (French/American 1908 – 2002) was a well known couturier in the 1950s and 60s, best remembered for her inventive ready-to-wear fashions with expert tailoring. She won her first prestigious Coty American Fashion Critics’ Award in 1949 and her loyal clients included Grace Kelly, Elizabeth Taylor and most famously Jacqueline Kennedy.
