Antique Burmese Opium Weight Box and Cast Brass Water Buffalo
Item Details
An antique Burmese opium weight box and cast brass water buffalo. This 19th-century semicircular box is beautifully hand-carved from teakwood with a relief carving of a dragon and detailed bordering to the top. The inside of the box has been carved out intended to hold a set of scales and weights. The box still contains the brass and string balance beam scale. Also included is a cast brass water buffalo figurine.
