A photogravure reproduction print in color on paper after the painting Two Bows by listed artist Ernest Albert Land (Canadian-born American; 1918-2006). This mid-century print was published by the Fine Arts Reproduction Gallery (F.A.R. Gallery) and printed by Triton Press, Inc. It depicts an alcove in which a violin hangs from a ribbon tied in a bow, the violin bow behind it. The ‘two bows’ are accompanied by a stack of books, a candlestick, handkerchief and pencil, and sheet music nailed to the back walls. It is rendered in the realistic trompe l’oeil style, and signed in plate within the image on a scrap of paper to the lower left. The title and artist’s name are printed to the lower center margin, with the publisher and printing house to the lower corners. It is presented behind glass in a gold tone wood frame with wire to the verso for hanging.

- discoloration and toning throughout print; streaking and accretion to glass; chips, marks, and wear to frame finish with slight separation to corner joins and areas of marked accretion.
