An early 1900’s 15K yellow gold Aegler Reeberg movement for Rolex wristwatch. This historically significant timepiece features a circular case with Roman numeral hour markers, spade style hands and a custom expansion bracelet utilizing an insert closure. The watch’s movement was made by Swiss watchmaker Jean Aegler from the Reeberg District of Bienne on LaHaute-Route for Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred James Davis who were the original founders of Rolex watch company.
