Douglas MacArthur Autographed Condolence Letter, 1945

A letter of condolences signed by Five-Star General Douglas MacArthur. The typed letter was sent to the mother of Private First Class Delbert R. McGrew. The letterhead has ‘General Headquarters Southwest Pacific Area’ at the top of the page. He expressed his sympathy for the death of her son and signed the letter in blue ink. His signature was given a ‘visual pass’ by a third party authenticator.
