An oil painting on board titled Buster’s Last Stand by self-taught American artist K.C. Truschel (20th/21st Century). This work features a family in their living room with an alarming giant hand trying to bust through their front door. The painting is signed “KCT 567” to the lower right and the title is inscribed to the verso.

K.C. Truschel was an unknown, self-taught painter from Bradford Woods near Pittsburgh. He painted from 1962-1967 and his work was never shown during his lifetime. His paintings often displayed themes of man’s shortcomings. His work was exhibited at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts in 2002.

- some cracking, abrasions, and accretions to the composition; come wear and chipping to the composition edges; adhesive toning to the verso.
