An 1852 first edition of Sketches of Western Adventure Containing an Account of the Most Interesting Incidents Connected with the Settlement of the West, from 1755 to 1784: with an Appendix written by John M’Clung. Published by L.F. Claflin & Co., the book is bound in brown cloth covered boards with impressed ornamentation to the front and back covers with gilt lettering to the spine. The text is hand-sewn with several full page illustrations throughout.
