Chinese Polychrome Porcelain Plate with Dragon and Phoenix, Qing Dynasty

A Chinese Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1912) wucai (five color) decorated porcelain plate featuring at the center a, imperial dragon and facing phoenix encircling the flaming pearl, both illustrated in fine detail. A wide floral band decorates the shallow sides of the plate with a gold rim and florals at the outer circumference as well. The bottom bears an overglaze Guangxu reign mark and double blue circle.

- fair to poor, four small chips at rim and five hairline cracks from rim inward
