Nippon Tobacco Jar, Owen's Estate Humidor with Humidor Stand and Pipes
Item Details
An assortment of tobacciana, including eight briar, corn cob and other pipes; an Owen’s Estate burl veneer humidor; and a wood humidor stand with music box mechanism. The porcelain jar features a hand-painted design of pipes and other smoking accoutrements, and is marked with a green maple leaf ‘Hand Painted Nippon’ mark to the underside, which dates it to the late 19th or early 20th century.

- wear to pipes includes scratches and wear to resin stems with residue to bowls; wear to humidor includes light surface scratches throughout, a small chip to veneer on back, and a few white spots; wear to display stand includes scuffs and surface scratches throughout, loss to finish and soil with residue to the interior of the humidor; the tobacco jar is missing a lid and has surface scratches to the exterior.
