Born in Union Hill, Pennsylvania, Clarence Ira Dreisbach first studied art at the Baum Art School before becoming a graduate of the Federal Schools in Design. Dreisbach then carried on a series of careers as an engineering draftsman, a commercial artist, an industrial designer, a teacher and lecturer. In his later years he even ran a art lessons out of his mountainside home. His work is represented in collections including Allentown Art Museum, Call Chronicle Publishing Co., Lehigh Valley Cooperative Farmer, Muhlenberg Public School, Bucks County School Service Center, Swain Country Day School and many private collections.
