An etched Caithness Glass David Gulland Chinese Dragon vase. The clear glass vase features an etched dragon around the exterior. It is signed to the underside ‘David Gulland Caithness 1973 No 1/1 Chinese Dragon’.
David Gulland was with Caithness Glass from 1970-1977. He studied glass design and engraving at Edinburgh College of Art in the 1950s. He was taught by Helen Monro Turner and was a colleague of Alison Geissler. He is known for copper wheel engravings and examples of his work can be found in many British public glass collections.
