An American Empire flip top writing desk and cane chair. This spinet writing desk features a hinged top surface that folds back to reveal small storage compartments, with an extended writing surface and a lower drawer. It includes wood veneer diamond accents atop each angular and tapered leg. The chair has a flared back with horizontal rail and splat, and a cane seat. Both are unmarked.
