A collection of antique books in Latin, most from the 19th and early 20th century. A highlight of the collection is a Medieval era edition of an anthology of German and Latin poems and tales by Caspar Dornau (German, 1577-1632), doctor and philosopher. This book is vellum bound and was published in 1619 by Impensis Danielis ac Davidis, Aubriorum & Clementis Schleichii.

Condition

- Caspar Dornau book’s binding tight, severe bowing to front and back cover, significant foxing, cap bumped and tail worn, corners bumped and worn and creased, front hinge is broken, back hinge intact, the vellum separating from rest of front cover, pages are creased, and cover is stained and discolored; others have moderate to extensive damaged with broken and deteriorating spines and leather; toning, foxing and evidence of water damage to some pages; handwriting to the fly page of most; some repairs noted to pages.
