- overall with various scratches, dents, marks, chips, shrinkage cracks, and abrasions consistent with age and use; structurally stable; the upper and lower sections are possibly associated; upper section had a pediment at one time (now missing); slant-front probably had a felt writing surface at one time (now missing) and same area with scattered stains; brass handles/escutcheons possibly replaced; case interior and drawer secondaries with some repairs/restorations; back feet with later glue blocks; comes with a key (to bookcase) and four porcelain casters.
