1920s Mesh Handbags Including Sterling, Whiting and Davis and Opera Glasses

A pairing of circa 1920s vintage handbags. One handbag includes a linked chain handle with a sterling silver hinge repoussé frame with florals, a kiss lock closure and a silver tone metal alloy mesh body. The interior is unlined and is stamped ‘S Silver’. The ‘Whiting Davis’ enameled mesh handbag features a pink, blue, yellow and white floral design. It has a gold tone chain handle, an embossed gold tone frame with a scrolling design, and push clasp. Also included are a pair of gold tone and mother of pearl opera glasses in a snap leather pouch, unmarked.
