Antique Terhune & Botsford Iron Face Clock
Item Details
An antique eight-day clock with a cast iron front produced in the mid-nineteenth century by Terhune & Botsford, circa 1850. The clock features gold painted filigree and floral patterns, accented to the front center by mother of pearl inlay. Two glass doors provide access to the pendulum and to the dial. The brass gears are visible behind the paper dial and includes a pendulum and key. The case of the clock is wood, with back panel nailed in place.

- tool marks present to brass gears and interior, with newer wood among the gears seen to the reverse panel, indicating recent repairs.
- the clock chimes at the top of the hour with a dampened strike.
