Westmorland "Milburn Rose" Sterling Silver Flatware in Stand-Up Chest

A selection of vintage sterling silver flatware by Westmorland Sterling Co. (active 1940-2001). This is in the Milburn Rose pattern, first introduced in 1940, which features an ornate handle with rose and acanthus leaf designs. The eighty-one piece set includes twenty dinner forks, twenty hollow-handled dinner knives, twenty-one teaspoons, fourteen soup spoons, a cut glass salt cellar with spoon, sauce ladle, bonbon spoon, sugar spoon, olive fork and butter knife. A silver plate Heritage Rogers Brothers pastry server is also included. All the Milburn Rose pieces are marked “Westmorland Sterling” to the backs of the handles. The set is presented in a wood 1847 Rogers Bros. flatware chest which stands upright and comes with protective cloth rolls. The total approximate weight, excluding dinner knives with stainless blades and the silver plate pastry server, is 77.850 ozt.
