Signed to reverse “Boehm”
A complementary pair of porcelain sculptures, each titled Kestrel, hand painted and designed by the sculptors at Boehm. Edward Marshall Boehm started a porcelain factory in New Jersey in the mid twentieth century, where molds often sculpted by the founder were decorated and fired by experienced sculptors. The company produced limited edition sculptures of wildlife in an expressionist style. The pair are each marked ‘Boehm’ to the reverse and are stamped to the underside.
Condition
- scuffing to green finish on bases, would benefit from light cleaning.
