Allen Jones is a well-known British Pop artist born in Southampton and is known for his avant-garde and philosophical sculptures of the human body. He studied at the Hornsey College of Art, London and at the Royal College of Art. Most of Jones’s work revolves around the morphed, erotic, and objectified gaze of the human body, such as turning human forms into furniture. He was also a prolific lithographer featuring similar subjects. Jones’s work has been exhibited across the globe and remains in such collections as the Tate Modern in London.
