A Native American Sioux-style beaded deer hide coat with wool trim. This coat features floral beaded designs to the collar, chest, sleeves and back and hide tassels to the shoulders, back and bottom edge. Seller attributes this item to John C. Arrasmith of Spotted Horse Reproductions who created costumes for ‘Dances with Wolves’ and for several museums. Also included is ‘Dances with Wolves: The Illustrated Story of the Epic Film’ which features some of John C. Arrasmith’s work.

- to Poor; reas of soiling, staining, fading and heavy wear/pilling overall to deer hide; hole to deer hide to front left chest panel slightly above waist 7.25" in from the open edge; gouges to front right chest panel slightly above waist; stitching at waist is slightly loose; areas of loose and loss wrapping to tassels at back; wrapping to one tassel has been replaced with thread.
