American Federal Painted Tall Chest, Late 18th Century

Item Details

A period American tall chest, having a molded cornice, above three small drawers, over five graduated drawers. The oval brass pulls may be original, as there are no other holes to the fronts. The chest features chestnut and poplar drawer construction with cherry fronts, refinished in a red wash, as was typical in the 18th century. The stiles have reeded quarter columns and bracket feet, in a rubbed black finish. Circa 1775-85.
