Norwegian Modern Teak "Korbo" Bench by Torbjørn Afdal for Bruksbo, 1960s

A Korbo coffee table/ bench by Torbjørn Afdal (Norweigan, 1917-99) for Mellemstrands Trevareindustri/ Bruskbo, circa 1960s. This low, long piece has a raised edge to the long ends, with matched grain to the top, creating a long, narrow oval in the center. It stands on rounded block legs with metal strap support and straight stretchers. The manufacturer’s label is affixed to the underside.
