Reed & Barton "Francis I" Sterling Flatware Set with Cherry Finished Chest

A sterling silver flatware set for eight by Reed & Barton (Taunton, MA, established 1840). These eighty-seven matching pieces feature the Francis I pattern, designed by Ernest Meyers in 1907, and reissued in the 1950s. The lot also includes a single silver plate lemon fork by Reed & Barton in the Harlequin pattern, originally introduced in sterling in 1958 and reissued through 1970 – 1976 in silver plate. These pieces are all marked by the maker and housed in a large wooden flatware chest with a cherry stained finish. The total approximate weight, excluding the hollow handle pieces, is 118.875 ozt.
