A mixed media painting titled From the Pink City by contemporary American artist Mick Moon (b. 1937), created in the late 20th century. An assemblage of monotype and acrylic canvas fragments, this work features an abstract portrayal of a still life with irregular gestural brushstrokes and smudged pigments. No visible signature was found on the work. It is mounted on a white surface and presented under glass in a black composite wood frame. The title of the work is inscribed to the verso.

Mick Moon was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and is known for his paintings and printmaking that feature layers of marks, color, text, and collage. In London, he studied at Chelsea School of Art and completed his studies at the Royal College of Art. His work is currently house in public collections including Victoria and Albert Museum, London; Tate, London; Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool; Scottish National Gallery, Edinburgh; Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon; Australian National Gallery, Canberra; and Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney. Moon currently lives and works in London.
