An early to mid-1990s American Girl ‘Samantha’ doll with Historical Collection sets. The Pleasant Company started their popular Historical Collection dolls with three American Girl dolls, including Samantha Parkinson, an Edwardian example of American life for young girls. Samantha was released in 1986, archived in 2009, and relaunched in 2014 as part of Mattel’s American Girl BeForever series. Samantha features soft, long hair, decal brown eyes, brown eye lashes, tan soft body with flat neck cords, and an artist’s mark behind the right ear. Included are articles of clothing from Samantha’s Winter Collection, Samantha’s Bed Time Collection with commode, trunk, and night gowns, Samantha’s Birthday Collection lacy pinafore dress and rosebud circlet, a 1997 Special Edition Samantha’s bathing outfit, and more. Also included is a sealed box set of Samantha books and Samantha’s setting boards. The doll comes with a Pleasant Company doll cleaning kit, a hair care kit and Samantha’s hair ribbons, and original boxes for most items.

Condition
- clothing is creased with some discoloration to fabric, particularly to the nightgown sets. All sets were not checked for full completion, most sets include original boxes with cardboard holders.
