Antique Moeller Rope Tension Marching Band Drum
Item Details
An antique ‘Moeller’ manufactured marching drum. This musical instrument presents signatures in ink pen located on the drum’s head. The animal skin drum heads are complete and intact. The drum’s casing is constructed of metal rims with reinforced circular wood panels. The name ‘Moeller’ is displayed on a metal plaque on the drum’s body. Metal claps with leather decorated pieces surround this drum. A few of the names include individuals from New York City and Chicago. One signature is identified as Vince Mott, Pres. Bag of Manhattan Post 84 N.Y. City.’ Many of the signatures have faded over time and are difficult to decipher.
