Item Details
A hand-knotted Indo-Kazak area rug. The wool carpet has a rectilinear design, with stepped diamond medallions on a brick ground, dotted with eight-pointed stars and small medallions. Sawtooth guard borders and a primary border with stepped medallions alternated with stylized crosses frame the field. The rug finished with natural warp fringe and barber pole selvedges.
