Effanbee "Dy-Dee" Rubber Doll with Wicker Doll Stroller, circa 1930

Item Details

A circa 1930 Effanbee Dy-Dee doll with a wicker doll stroller. This selection features a baby doll comprised of a composition head with molded hair painted brown, sleep eyes, plump cheeks, and an open mouth. This model was originally fitted with a tube that connected its open mouth to an exit on the underside, making the doll controversial for the time. It went on to become a best seller for Effanbee and inspired a new type of interactive toy. The doll is marked appropriately on the back of the neck. Also offered is a wicker doll stroller with a teal painted finish, yellow metal body, turned wood handle, and rubber wheels. It houses a white pillow with case and embroidered textiles.
