Hand-Knotted Persian Qashqai Long Rug

A vintage Persian Qashqai carpet runner. The wool runner features a pattern of linked diamonds in green and bright orange with hook outlines on a burgundy ground. The field is framed by floral guard stripes, a split-leaf primary border and an outer running water guard border. The rug is finished at each end with kilim triangles which been hand woven from the natural warp thread and barber pole overcast selvedges.
