A 20th Century mixed media Kuba Bwoom mask from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This mask is intricately embellished with cowrie shells, beads, bean pod, and incised with geometric designs. The ceremonial mask possibly represents the brother of the ruler (Woot) or a commoner.
